Awesome part time opportunity for CFO Advisor to join a growing financial consulting firm in Maryland.
What We Need
You will have a portfolio of small to medium sized companies as CFO Advisor and be key point of contact for each company’s finance and accounting needs. Although our approach to each Client is tailored to their needs, a typical situation includes a combination of project oriented work (budgets, cash flow forecasts, pricing analyses, development of loan packages, assessing and implementing strong controls, etc.) and monthly routine work such as the financial close and the production of a meaningful reporting package to the CEO and/or Board. Our clients often rely on us to assist with integration of systems (people/process/finance). You execute on each situation with a high level of service and deliver the best possible solution for the client that reasonably meets their needs and budget. You have a keen interest in the client’s success. We are looking for Advisors to service clients in the Frederick, Woodbine, Hagerstown, Columbia, Maryland and DC areas.
Who You Are
You have more than 10 years’ experience as a CFO/Controller/Director of Finance and preferably have a CPA and MBA (there are other combinations of experiences and education that might also be a great fit, too). You are extremely comfortable developing and navigating around complex spreadsheets using excel; you are comfortable with Word and PowerPoint. You have a successful career track record of growing responsibilities and improving the bottom-line. You’ve developed budgets, projections and implemented best practices in the construction or distribution industry. Ideally, you have also had government contracting experience and have operated at the level of CFO.
You enjoy working with details but you don’t get mired in them. You can see the forest AND the trees. You can look at a complex situation, size it up and communicate the story that the numbers tell. You don’t enjoy working full time for a corporate client any longer but don’t want the hassle of finding business as an independent consultant. You enjoy variety and a challenge. You are a good communicator and enjoy working with people. You are highly organized. You are an optimistic person and are involved in your community.
You are honest, trustworthy and have the references to support it.
