With over 15 years of experience advising privately held companies and non-profits, this BottomLine CFO Advisor’s consulting practice concentrates in the following areas: strategic planning, organizational development, change management, and executive mentoring. She has spent most of her career working with organizations that are facing the challenges of developing and implementing an organizational strategy, facing a funding event, or expanding new and existing service lines. She has facilitated strategic planning sessions for numerous non-profit organizations and corporate clients. She often works with the management team and board of directors to develop processes and a framework to facilitate communication, accountability and transparency. In addition, she has devised executable business strategies that attracted outside funding and generated revenues, profits, and continued growth going forward. This BLGS CFO Advisor was recognized as one of the top 40 metro area business professionals under the age of 40. She is the immediate past Chair and a current board member for the Greater Baltimore Technology Council; Member, Young Professionals Committee Good Samaritan Hospital; Treasurer, Roland Park Elementary Middle School PTA; and Vice President of the Alumni Council for The Mercersburg Academy. She is a frequent speaker on the issue of strategic planning and capital markets.
She worked as a strategic advisor at both SC&H Capital and Chessiecap. In these positions, she was responsible for helping clients devise executable business strategies that created enterprise value and growth. She conducted and analyzed market research and market drivers in numerous industries to better understand a client’s organization and products which provided clients with a strategy for positioning. She leveraged operational expertise to recommend an optimal operational structure and cross functional milestones to reach the next level in the market place. She also developed a number of key deliverables for clients to accomplish business goals including: investment-grade business plans, strategic and operating plans to support day-today execution, investor presentations, marketing and partnership plans, and post transaction integration plans.
Earlier in her career, this BLGS CFO Advisor served as the Managing Director for the Maryland Venture Fund. There she was responsible for overseeing all equity financing activities for the State of Maryland, with a focus on the advancement of life sciences and advanced technology companies within the State. She managed a portfolio of 100 active technology and biotech companies, nine venture capital limited partnerships and retained five Board of Director memberships.
She received both her Master of Business Administration degree in Marketing and Bachelors of Business Administration in Marketing from the Loyola University Maryland. She holds her Series 82, 63, FINRA licenses.
